WITH regards to the letter from Paul Fenton "Town needs to revamp parking" (Penarth Times, March 13).
I don't know him or Sue Knight whose letter he feels would be better placed in the Guardian ( I assume that is to taken as an insult ).
The parking sign he mentions is abundantly clear. It is a loading bay prior to midday and then after midday it becomes a normal restricted parking bay; nothing too arduous there.
The essence of a parking revamp has to first of all encompass the novel idea that parking restrictions exist to allow everyone a fair chance of parking and is not a first come, sit there forever notion.
In my opinion the Traffic Enforcement Officers ensure that the parking around Penarth is not blocked for hours and personally I find it much easier to park and shop. They are also professional, focused and polite.
