A useless achievement

First published in Letters

NOW that the 'M4160' relief motorway is now up and running (for the uninformed this refers to the cycle/pedestrian track between the Railway Hotel and Cosmeston Country Park), Councillor Burnett and the Vale Council are to be congratulated on this fine achievement.

Despite being only just complete, cyclists are ignoring the lovely blue signs at each end of Archer/Sully Terraces to rejoin the main carriageway, skateboarders have found the racetrack, horses have a lovely toilet on the shiny tarmac and the spoil from the construction is being left for nature to reclaim it.

Thus all that the protesters said would happen, has, in less than a week.

Well done and thanks a bunch.
