MAY I through your newspaper express my sincere thanks to all those who supported our charity event which was held at the Penarth Conservative Club on Saturday afternoon, March 22.

This fundraising event was in memory of family and friends who are very much missed and who received support by Marie Curie Hospice (Holme Tower), Penarth.

Tina, of Jewellery by Sparkles, and Rebecca, of R L Poland Photography, gave very generous donations from sales at their stalls.

Thanks also to the chairman and committee of Penarth Conservative Club for allowing us to use their facilities and giving us a very generous donation.

I would also very much like to thank those involved in providing raffle prizes, cake and stall donations, and volunteering an extra pair of helping hands, including Mark, the relief steward that day - much appreciated!

Our thanks go to: Tina from Jewellery by Sparkles, R L Poland Photography, Printsauce, Nicola Bullough, Penarth Pier Pavillion, Nicola's Juicer Penarth Pier, Candybar Heaven, chairman and committee Penarth Conservative Club, Dean and Glyn Penarth Conservative Club, Robert Corbett, Jane Sargent, Lin Chapman, Gwen Thomas, Kath Parfitt, Helen Hoborough, Chris Olding, Babs Scott, Margaret Todd, Angela Jones, Jo Thompson, Nina Tucker and, of course, last but not least, Chris Seal (Penarth Times) for kindly advertising our event for us.

Once again, very many thanks to all who bought raffle tickets and who came along and gave their support and contributed to the fantastic sum raised of £555. Well done everyone.

This has been passed on to Holme Tower to help towards them continuing with the fantastic work that they do.

Julia and Nicola Bullough
