IT looks as if the Penarth Leisure Centre pool won't be open for the school holidays.
Do Parkwood ever intend to re-open one of the few facilities that exist for youngsters in Penarth, or are they just looking to cut costs by closing it down altogether?
Surely they knew the level of use and associated costs before they took it on. How can it take nearly five months to repair smoke and fire damage?
Shame on Parkwood for such delaying tactics and shame on the Vale Council for not chasing them to get this place re-opened sooner.
