I WANTED to write in and congratulate the fantastic cast of The Vicar Of Dibley, which I had a great pleasure in watching in Penarth on Saturday Night. I can honestly say that I haven't laughed that much in a very long time. I know I wasn't alone in my enjoyment, the audience was electric, and I also overheard a lady in the row in front of me saying that she was back for a second time.
It is such a treat for Penarth to see such a well known comedy performed on stage, and I wonder why other societies haven't thought to do a TV play. Every member of the cast played their character perfectly. I really hope to see something from this group in the future, so well done, and I hope that you raised lots of money for little Alfie.
