Tony and I would like to thank all our friends and customers who came into Windsor Bookshop during our last few days before retirement, not only just to wish us well but bringing us so many gifts and cards.
We were truly amazed. Thank you so much.
We have made so many good friends over the past 15 years.
Many of those who started out as customers all those years ago have now become lifelong friends and now that we have retired we will hopefully be able to spend more time with them.
It has been such fun running the bookshop. Watching the next generation of book lovers grow from small children at the beginning to move on to university and beyond, hopefully helping a bit on the way with their reading materials, has been a real joy.
We cannot thank you all enough for making our time in the bookshop such a happy one.
We will miss seeing you all on a daily basis but we will be in Penarth regularly to catch up on all the news.
We would also like to thank our fellow traders, now also good friends, for making Penarth the best place to run a business.
We wish Mel Griffin, who is now running the bookshop, all the best for the future.
