IT WAS while my wife and I were enjoying the play "The Vicar of Dibley" in the Main Hall of All Saints Parish Church in Victoria Square that I purchased draw tickets in aid of the Walk-with-Alfie Charity and to my surprise I won an Afternoon Tea for two at the Waterloo Tea Rooms in The Washington.

Having booked in for our meal we turned up on Friday to find a table reserved for us with a young man in attendance upon us.

We enjoyed our meal with his help in choosing cake and sandwiches and scones with cream and jam all washed down with the specialist tea provided. We had considerable help from the young man.

It made a very special contribution to my enjoyment of my birthday, so my thanks go to the players, the rafflers and the Waterloo.
