I WAS very saddened last weekend to still see pet shops selling kittens for considerable sums of money. I would like to take this opportunity to remind anyone looking to find a family pet, to contact the local animal rescue centres we have on our doorstep.
We have one in Sully called SHUA, the Cats Protection League in Bridgend, Four Paws, Many Tears and other smaller ones you can easily find on the internet. These centres are desperate for your help in rehoming the many abandoned and unloved little animals they are caring for. In these harsh economic times many more animals are being abandoned and placed with them and often they are struggling for space to care for them. You will also often see a large choice of pets and one to suit your own family circumstances. You will be welcomed and given help and advice in caring for your new family member and know you have helped the other unwanted animals waiting for the space and care on offer
