SHORTLY after the Pier Pavilion opened in 1929 a clock was presented to Penarth by one of the Town’s residents in memory of her husband and of her son who was killed in the First World War. It was located in the same prominent position as the present clock. At the time a plaque recording the details of the gift was also placed on a wall inside the Pavilion.
Unfortunately, during the following years, the plaque has disappeared and Penarth Arts and Crafts, as custodians of the Pavilion, are anxious to replace it. If you have any recollection of its existence or where it was sited we would be grateful if you could please contact the Pavilion (Tel: 029 2071 2100 email: info@penarthpierpavilion.co.uk)
