AS THE memorial in Alexandra Park Penarth is for personnel who lost their lives during World Wars one and two and not for deaths in other campaigns or training activities the Vale council is correct in refusing to place Paul Woodland's name on it. The inclusion of his name at the Memorial Arboretum and on his own gravestone is appropriate recognition of his service to the country.
