AS 2014 draws to a close, we can reflect on a superb year, during which time The Boys’ Brigade in Wales has achieved a great deal.

A full calendar of events has seen our young members develop skills for life whilst involved in summer camps, as well as taking part in high ropes courses, kayaking and adventure walks. We’ve also celebrated the success of our older members, with two being awarded the Queen’s Badge, the organisation’s highest recognition. We’ve also seen a number of young people complete the Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

Collectively, this highlights the continued relevance of The Boys’ Brigade to today’s young people. However, we couldn’t have achieved this without the help and support of so many great volunteers who give up countless hours each week to invest in the lives of thousands of children and young people.

As we look forward to the year ahead, it promises to be an exciting one, as we launch three new companies in early-2015. Of those new groups, some are in communities new to The Boys’ Brigade, where we’ve had an overwhelming response from local people.

These new groups will offer 120 new places, which is great news for the lives of hundreds of young people, as we seek to engage, partner and support them, through a programme of fun and challenging activities over the coming months.
