In reply to A.M.Eshelby's letter in the Penarth Times. Thursday, December 18, regarding the light that he has seen in the sky it is the lone star Syrius which is low in the sky at this time of the year.
The red and blue flashing lights that can been seen are not from the star but from the atmospheric conditions.
