I WOULD like to thank all those who stopped to help my elderly mother when she tripped up the kerb on Stanwell Road, near Penarth House, and fell a couple of weeks ago.

She sustained a cut to her forehead and a sprained shoulder, not to mention shock!

But I am happy to say that after excellent and prompt treatment at the Heath's A&E, she is slowly recovering well.

I would like to thank all those who offered assistance, in particular the two ladies who stopped their car and took it in turns to prop my mother up until the ambulance arrived, and also to the young man who gave her his knitted jacket to keep her warm and the gentleman who summoned helped.

Thank you all very much.
