AFTER reading Helen Coombe’s letter in the Penarth Times on April 2, it prompted me to write this letter.
I was alone when I fell near Rectory Lane in Stanwell Road. Struggling to get up, a gentleman stopped his car and got out to see if I needed any help, he saw I had injured my hands and he got tissues to cover them.
A young lady arrived who said she had seen me fall and could help me with my hands, she said her name was Kate and she took me to her car where she cleaned my hands and put dressing on the wounds.
She then said she would take me home, she also consoled my wife who was worried about my fall.
I still think of these two kind people who stopped to care for a stranger. Especially Kate who spent all that time with me and what she did. I am 90-years-old and bless you both.
