I WOULD like to draw your attention to a recent campaign set up by parents at Victoria Primary school asking the council to provide a pedestrian crossing on Stanwell Road.
At peak times there are hundreds of children crossing to and from not only Victoria but also Stanwell schools and no safe route for those that have to cross this busy road.
The campaign has the strong support of the school's head teacher Mrs Taylor and a petition has been circulating at the school gate.
An i-petition has also been set up for anyone in Penarth to sign urging the council to give priority to safe routes to school and encourage walking rather than driving.
I warmly invite readers to sign the petition which can be found at ipetitions.com/petition/time-for-a-pedestrian-crossing-on-the-stanwell.
