FOR the sake of accuracy I would like to point out to readers that the award of a five star food hygiene certificate to the Oystercatcher (Penarth Times, June 11) covers just that and is not an indication of food quality as claimed by the pub chain's business unit director, Marc McGuigan.
The Food Standard Agency clearly states that a Food Hygiene rating or inspection result given to a business reflects the standards of food hygiene on the date of inspection. The Food Hygiene rating is NOT a guide to food quality
