AGE Positive Week is Age Cymru’s national celebration of all that is positive about ageing.
Building on the success of our first ever Age Positive Week last year, we hope to make this year even bigger and better.
It takes place from Sunday, September 27 to Sunday, October 4 and coincides with the UN International Day of Older Persons on October 1.
We believe that Age Positive Week is a fantastic way for us all to celebrate the positive aspects of ageing and the contribution older people have made and continue to make to our communities.
Being ‘age positive’ is also a vital part of Age Cymru’s vision to create an age friendly Wales.
We want the Welsh public to join in by badging their usual activities in the week as Age Positive, or organising their own celebrations.
From tea parties to day trips, concerts to dance classes, school assemblies to forum meetings, there are plenty of ways you can get involved or show your support. We can send you posters and stickers to make the most of your event. Whatever you decide, please remember to tell us about it so we can add the details to our Age Positive calendar.
Please contact Age Cymru on 029 2043 1555 or email agepositive@agecymru.org.uk to tell us about your Age Positive event or to request an Age Positive pack.
You can find out more about Age Cymru’s Age Positive Week and what is already going on across Wales by visiting agecymru.org.uk/agepositive.
Age Cymru works nationally and locally through its network of local charity partners to make Wales a place where older people can flourish.
