DEAR editor,

What a treat to have been able to attend the first of All Saints Church’s autumn season of lunchtime recitals. It’s a wonderful experience just being in this church but to get the opportunity to hear beautiful music played by such talented musicians makes it even more special.

Alison Dite and Jeremy Kinglake-Jones provided a programme of early music on lutes which transported us all to a bygone age of courtliness and style unknown to many of the current generation. This couple’s finale involved Alison sitting on Jeremy’s lap with the pair of them playing the one lute with four hands. Absolutely amazing.

The All Saints Music at Lunchtime season continues until November 23 with a variety of music on offer. Entry is free and the church is totally accessible to disabled people.

People bring their lunch along and have a picnic on the Gallery and hot and cold drinks are provided. Not to be missed.
