AS SOMEONE who was born in Penarth, I have to agree with G Powell’s comments re: the dreadful state of the pavements and roads. I also agree with the comments regarding car parking.
It seems you can park anywhere, on pavements, and on double yellow lines. Elderly people should be warned before purchasing a property in the town.
Business people are harassed by the health and safety inspectors, and yet nothing is said about the pavements. If only we could bring back the Penarth Urban District Council, who would send workmen out as soon as a cracked paving stone was reported.
