WE’VE all come together for a BBQ – Texan-themed I’m told
I don’t know what the difference is – but sauces – they’re not cold
They have been made by Texan folk – I hope they’re not too hot
I understand they’ve chilli in – the rest – I don’t know what
We’ve got our sausages, burgers, onions and some salad too
But sauces made the Texan style that will be something new
We’re so pleased to welcome you to join us for this day
Together with our Texan friends – what more can I say
They’ve been kept very busy for the short time in our land
Let’s hope they’ve felt at home with us – they’re such a happy band
They’re here to share some things with us – they’ve come from far away
And let us know what’s going on up to this present day
They’ve been to schools and churches with BBQs and more
I’m sure there’s lots of other things that they have in store
They’re here to share their faith with us – the news is just the same
It doesn’t matter where we’re from He knows us all by name
It could be Wales or USA God has no special place
He loves us all – just as we are – whatever is our race
I want to wish them all the best – I’ve only met a few
But wish them all a journey safe as they travel to
Their homes they left a long way off and hope they come again
To give us all this special treat they’re wisdom we will gain.
