ON A typical wet Saturday morning I have found a delightful venue for morning coffee and a leisurely browse in the dry – the 50 Mile Market.
The Paget Rooms played host to a variable collection of interesting traders who were vending their goods in very affable surroundings – no steps, plenty of room to wander with space for trollies and wheelchairs and plenty of seats – an important issue now I am well into my 80s.
Having filled my basket with home made ready meals – various sweet goodies – fresh eggs (collected that morning a very desirable find), fresh veg and local meat (there were many other goodies which I had to resist) I was able to indulge in coffee and cookies and have our Saturday morning chat all in comfortable surroundings. Well done 50 Mile Market – may it thrive and prosper – just what Penarth wants.
Looking forward to the October date.
