LOCAL Motion Dance Company were invited to perform at the Southbank Centre in London as part of the first Inclusive Youth Dance Platform, alongside other professional dance companies. This was an amazing opportunity and experience for the group of disabled dancers, giving them the recognition of the wonderful work that they produce.
Congratulations to our tutors Sophie Batey and Sam Griffiths for their wonderful choreography and thank you to our volunteers Sammie Owens and Morgan Webber for the support they provide for this dance group.
Dancers also had a marvellous experience being part of the Roald Dahl centenary celebrations in Cardiff as they performed in the City of the Unexpected. They met well-known characters and enjoyed the opportunity to be part of such a wonderful event.
Congratulations to Lloyd Williams, an ex-dancer of Motion Control Dance, for an exceptional lead performance of James. We are so proud of you.
Classes started back and we are over the moon to say that our enrolments have soared to 160 members who are attending our weekly sessions at the YMCA.
Motion Control Dance would like to welcome our new tutors to our rockstar faculty. Lara Ward, our new contemporary dance professional, and Lauren Spillane will be responsible for our senior street dance session.
We hope you enjoy working with us and being part of the MCD family.
