Hole story (From Penarth Times)

I READ with interest in last week’s edition (June 25) that our local AM, Lorraine Barrett, had been carrying out a pavement audit.

One sympathises with partially-sighted or blind persons negotiating A-boards and other obstacles on the pavements.

However, I was surprised that there was no mention of the appalling state of the pavements throughout the town.

Many of the pavements are little more than obstacle courses and are extremely dangerous to the public at large.

Also, huge potholes in the roads are commonplace.

It was nothing like this when Penarth was adminstered by the Penarth Urban District Council!

When is the Vale Council going to do something about the problem?
