Ball stolen

ON Tuesday, June 30, at 3.45pm I took my son and friend to Cogan Field (behind Cogan Leisure centre) to kick his football around. As we were walking across the field my son and friend’s little boy ran on to play football.

They were approached by a boy dressed in black trousers and black hooded top who asked to have a go of the ball.

We teach our children to share and therefore my son let this older lad have a go.

When we turned around the lad had run off with the ball and was nowhere to be seen.

As you can imagine my son, who is only five, was extremely upset that his favourite ball had been stolen by this lad – and I, as a parent, am totally shocked and appalled.

I cannot believe that a child would do this, or am I just being totally naive?

The football is bright yellow with black lettering (I think it says kick-start).

If your child has come home with a ball fitting this description please make arrangements to return the stolen item by contacting the Penarth times. Angry Parent Penarth
