MY son Matthew is going to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in July to raise funds for the Marie Curie Hospice in Penarth.

He needs to get £3,800 in sponsorship and one of his fundraising events took place at the Morrisons store in the Bay.

Simon Brown kindly allowed Matthew to hold a bag-packing session on Saturday, January 30, and I would like to thank everyone for being so generous. We managed to collect just over £450.

Every penny will be going to Marie Curie. So, on behalf of Matthew and myself, may I say a huge thank you to everyone concerned.
