LOCAL school girls from Stanwell School in Penarth have organised a talent show in aid of charity to be held on Sunday, May 20, at the all Saints Church Hall in Penarth.
The girls have chosen a local charity LATCH.
LATCH was formed in 1982 by a group of family and friends. It stands for Llandough Aims to Treat Children with cancer and leukaemia with Hope.
It is a Welsh children’s cancer charity and supports children who are receiving treatment for cancer and their families.
The charity is close to their heart as one of the schoolgirls, Olivia Davies, was diagnosed with a rare tumour when she was 14 months old.
Thanks to the exceptional efforts by the doctors and staff from both Llandough and Heath Hospitals, and with support from LATCH, she is now a happy and healthy 12-year-old with a passion for life.
As well as the talent show, there is a raffle draw with an exceptional amount of prizes kindly donated by local businesses in Penarth.
The girls are hoping to raise lots of money for a very worthwhile cause with the help and the generosity of the people of Penarth.
