Our work continues

FOLLOWING the front page report in last week’s Penarth Times regarding Maggie Knight standing down from the Washington Gallery and Pier Pavilion Project, we would like to reassure all readers that the excellent work undertaken by Maggie and her husband Stephen will continue!
Penarth Arts and Crafts Limited is the not-for-profit company and registered charity that has responsibility both for the gallery and the Pier Pavilion Project and the board of trustees, under our new chairman, Mr Paul Twamley, is fully committed to ensuring an exciting future for both locations.
Whilst much of the recent emphasis has been on securing the necessary funding for the restoration of the pier pavilion, we are very much aware of the crucial role that the Washington Gallery has played in this process and its continuing contribution to the Penarth community.
We are currently undertaking a review of all activities at the gallery and café and your readers can look forward to some exciting developments at this iconic location in Penarth.
Visitors to the café are being invited to fill in a very short questionnaire relating to the café’s facilities and we would welcome any suggestion that readers may have regarding its future activities.
Anyone wishing to make suggestions or provide comments on the gallery and café can submit them by e-mail to info@washingtongallery.co.uk.
