ON Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 12, 13 and 14, Stanwell Road Baptist Church (opposite West House) will be celebrating 125 years since it’s formation with a history display, at which many interesting original documents and posters highlighting the life and views of a past era will be exhibited.

One of the original families was the Stowe family who lived in Park Road, and the church met in their home before commencing the building of the Schoolroom at Stanwell (next to the Paget Rooms) that was the original church. The present chapel was built in 1896.

The display will be in the chapel where there will also be a Flower Festival based on the theme 'Besides the Seaside' where tea, coffee and a range of fresh cakes and cream teas will be available for purchase in the church coffee shop.

Entry to the exhibition and floral displays will be free and everyone will be welcome to visit over the three day period between 10am and 4pm each day.
