Come down to food fest
7:20am Thursday 12th July 2012 in Letters
I WOULD like to take this final opportunity to invite all readers and their families and friends to the Kymin on Beach Road, Penarth, this Sunday, 15 July, from 11am to 4pm to enjoy the second GPG Local Food Festival.
Last year’s event was such a great success thanks to all the stallholders, their wonderful wares and the many enthusiastic visitors.
Top among comments was how the event had drawn the community together through great food and the relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
This year promises even more – delicious food stalls, live acoustic music, live demonstrations, crafty fun for the kids in an on-site yurt, an unmissable raffle packed with fantastic prizes, and lots of information on how GPG is working to promote a more sustainable Penarth through initiatives such as the Shop in Penarth scheme, plot share, the community garden and much more.
We really hope to see you there this Sunday. Entrance is free, so come and enjoy great local food and community spirit, rain or shine!
Susannah McWilliam Chair of the Food Group Gwyrddio Penarth Greening (GPG)
