I WAS very surprised to read that Dr Molik, the Lib Dem Candidate for the constituency by-election, is campaigning "for better rail services".
She does not specify the alleged deficiencies in the service and I wonder how often she uses it.
My husband and I use the train from Penarth regularly and find it excellent. The service is frequent, efficient and the staff of Arriva Trains Wales are unfailingly helpful, friendly and courteous.
Since moving to Penarth on our retirement, one of the pleasures has been the easy access to Cardiff and elsewhere provided by our local railway company.
