Praise for healthcare

ALL too often we read headlines criticising the health service in this country, but we have nothing but praise for the health professionals who supported us in nursing my father through the last traumatic days of cancer. We had support from our GP, district nurses and the Marie Curie nurses, and their warm, compassionate expert care helped us through a very difficult time. Our GP, Dr Sally Lindsey of Redlands Road Surgery, went above and beyond in providing the highest care possible.

The district nurses and Marie Curie nurses, particularly Jaz, her team, the night nurses Angela and Liz, were exceptional in their care and compassion shown not only to dad but to the whole family. We would like to thank them sincerely for their speedy response, their ongoing support in our time of need and enabling us to care for our father in the comfort of his own home.
