Thank you to the kind people who helped return my lost purse

I JUST wanted to say thank you to the person who found my purse in Alexandra Park on Monday afternoon (September 3).

My purse fell out of my bag when I was sitting on a bench with my family and when my husband returned shortly afterwards to look for it, it was gone – I was devastated as it contained bank cards, credit card, supermarket point cards, library cards etc, as well as family photos.

My daughter bought me the purse for Christmas so I was very sad to have lost it. It also contained £50.

I was about to report the loss to my bank etc when I received a call from the owner of Foxy’s Deli, who I know. He informed me that my purse had been found in the park, and the husband of the lady who found it had called into the Deli asking for a contact telephone number for my husband, as he knows my husband and suspected the purse might be mine.

I was so relieved to have it returned – Foxy even dropped it round to my home!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to the lady and gentleman in question and of course to Foxy! If sometime our faith in humankind is dented, it is things like this that certainly restores it.
