Clearing up appreciated

OVER some time there have been problems with anti-social behaviour at Victoria School playing fields, so how nice it was last week to see the youngsters of 6th Penarth cubs and scouts, supervised by leaders Pat and Irene, carrying out a litter pick.

This follows quite intensive pruning by the Vale parks department which revealed just how much litter there was in the field.

A big thank you to the youngsters for their efforts, which are much appreciated by us residents, some of whom can often be seen early mornings clearing up litter left by slightly older youngsters than those who cleared it all up.
