PENARTH'S annual Autumn Fair raised £1510 for The Children’s Society last Saturday, October 26.
Ann Lush MBE, Chairman of the Penarth Fundraising Committee and Honorary Vice President of The Children’s Society UK, organised the event and said: “The weather was kind, which brought the public in to enjoy coffee/tea and to peruse the various stalls.
“Needless to say at the end of one and a half hours there was very little left.
“My thanks on behalf of The Children’s Society are offered to so many, all of whom that have supported and kindly donated. I would also like to thank Dave the caretaker of the Paget Rooms, who went out of his way to help, Paul Knight for all the printing, the Penarth Times for publicity and the shops who willingly took our posters.
“Many appreciative thanks once again.
“This wonderful total could not be achieved without all of you.”
