THE nominated charity of Audrey Hirst, the president of Soroptimist International Barry and District, is the National Eczema Society.
To promote the charity, and in conjunction with the 80th birthday celebration of Llandough Hospital, the club ran a competition with the children’s centre at the hospital to design a birthday card to celebrate the event.
During National Eczema Week the winners were presented with a personalised mug and gift token and, as a thank you to the children’s centre, the club presented it with a set of international dolls.
