A LADIES night organised by Sully Friends of Ty Hafan raised more than £1,000 for the children’s hospice.
Last month's event had a fantastic turn out with a total of £912.68 being raised, along with over £100 also raised on the night from the sale of Ty Hafan Christmas cards.
Barclays will be matching the £452 raised by the raffle on the night in their employees ‘pound for pound’ scheme which was kindly set up by Sully Friends of Ty Hafan committee member and Barclays employee Rita Rees.
The event featured stalls from local businesses and beauty therapists offering lots of fabulous treatments which were enjoyed by all who attended.
Jessica Hopkins, who helped organise the fundraising night for Sully Friends of Ty Hafan at Sully's Old School Hall, said: “I've had lots of great feedback, so we will definitely be looking to hold the evening again next year.
“Sully Friends of Ty Hafan are looking for new members for 2014 so if anyone is interested in joining the committee or joining our mailing list for future events they need to contact the committee secretary Clare Hopkins at email@example.com.
“We are already planning our events for next year which will include a quiz, Mexican night, family treasure hunt and a summer ball.”
