ON Sunday, December 8, the sun shone and brought a large enthusiastic audience to the newly refurbished Penarth Pavilion to listen to Penarth Voices in Harmony Allegro who filled the auditorium with superb arrangements from musical theatre and brilliant Christmas standards, which the audience joined in with.

Having just performed two sell out concerts the 40 strong ladies choir were on top form and have already been asked to return to the Pavilion for an evening concert in 2014.

This was a nostalgic afternoon for the choir's conductor Ray Dibble who staged the last concerts in the Pavilion in 1967 when he formed the celebrated Penarth Music and Variety Company. The choir were joined by David G Harrington from The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama as their accompanist.
