POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary which happened at Railway Terrace in Dinas Powys just before Christmas.
The incident happened between 1.15pm and 2.35pm on Monday, December 23, when entry was gained via a patio door.
The burglar was disturbed and fled the scene on foot along Cardiff Road in the direction of Barry. It is believed the suspect ran along Sunnybank Close and into a field.
The suspect is described as being aged in his mid 20s, white, wearing a grey hooded top and a black hat.
Jewellery, including rings and necklaces were stolen, as well as personal documents.
Police conducted a search of the area utilising search dogs and the force helicopter.
