A PENARTH family is celebrating after the return of a missing cat following an online appeal.

The owner had appealed on Facebook and Twitter for help finding the missing ‘Dinky’ after she went missing on Sunday, December 29.

The family had also leafleted, knocked on doors and put up posters in a bid to find the missing cat.

Fortunately she returned home at 6.30am on Wednesday, December 31, to the relief of the family.

“Huge thanks to all those who helped by retweeting my lost cat in Penarth appeal,” said the owner, under the name @PrincessBagel, on twitter.

“I'm chuffed to report she returned safe and sound this morning.

“We all jumped up crying with happiness to see her.”

The owner had previously said it was unusual for ‘Dinky’ to wander around and appealed for people to check their houses and sheds.
