VOTING at Penarth Library will close on Monday morning after almost 200 people have expressed a view on Penarth’s Town Plan in one of the widest-ranging and most popular public consultations ever seen in the town.

The vote, opened by pupils from Stanwell School in December, has seen Penarth residents chose their favourite suggestions for improvement from those made at a public meeting last year as a well as make their own suggestions.

The categories included ‘public areas’, ‘transport’ and ‘the town centre’.

For those who have missed their chance to vote in person, the vote is open online for another week on the Have Your Say section at penarth.white-design.com

Once the vote is counted, the highest priorities will be written into the Town Plan. The Town Council are hoping the momentum will stay up, as they will be looking to work with businesses, community groups and residents to find funding and keep the Plan on track.

Residents who want to talk about the Plan are welcome to contact the Town Plan Development Officer at West House on rcallaghan@penarthtowncouncil.gov.uk or 02920 813742
