GLAMORGANSHIRE Golf Club presented a cheque of nearly £5,800 to Bobath Children's Therapy Centre Wales at their end of season dinner on December 21. The cheque was presented to Meryl Davies, a trustee of the charity.
Karen Blatchford ladies captain for Glamorganshire Golf Club explained how the club raised the money: "Throughout the year we held many raffles, we had a collection box on the bar, a captain's charity day, club car park space raffle, summer ball raffle and auctions are just a few to mention.
"We would like to thank all those who have contributed in their captaincy year and wish all the very best to Bobath Wales in their continuing support for children in Wales who have Cerebral Palsy. We at Glamorganshire hope this contribution will help all those involved at Bobath Wales".
Claire Brown, senior events co-ordinator at Bobath said: "It has been an absolute pleasure working with Glamorganshire Golf Club during 2013 and we are thrilled with the wonderful amount they have raised throughout the year. We need to raise over £1,000,000 each year to keep the Bobath Centre running so their support really is amazing".
