DINAS Powys Infants' School scooped third place in an anti-bullying competition.
The school won £25 after producing an information booklet about how it participated in anti-bullying week.
Julie Thompson, head teacher of Dinas Powys Infant School, said: “Our School Council were thrilled to have received third prize in the Vale of Glamorgan Anti Bullying Competition. “They all worked hard to produce a colourful and informative booklet of how we participated in Anti-Bullying week and what we can do to help.
“The children were ably supported by Caroline Lewis, School Council co-ordinator.”
The competition asked pupils to carry out activities and produce booklets to describe their activities during Anti Bullying Week, November 18-22, 2013.
Cllr Chris Elmore Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, who judged the competition, said: “It is important to work together to create a future without bullying. The pupils from Dinas Powys Infant School have worked really hard to come third and I am looking forward to announcing second and first place schools very soon”.
