A WELSH charity is looking for people willing to get on their bike, get fit and raise funds at the same time.

Cardiff based Bobath is inviting cyclists to take part in its Lôn Las Cycle Challenge 2014!

Following the success of the Lôn Las Cycle Challenge over the past seven years, Bobath is asking people to pedal in the pounds in 2014! Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales, which provide specialist therapy to children from all over Wales who have cerebral palsy, is looking for enthusiastic cyclists to join the 2014 challenge group and cycle 254 miles from Holyhead to Cardiff Bay from May 2 to May 7.

This challenge is not for the faint hearted, cyclists will cross three distinct mountain ranges, but the rewards make it more than worth it.

From quiet rural lanes, rolling green countryside and old industrial and agricultural heritage, The Lôn Las Cycle Challenge really captures the richness and diversity of Wales.

Lôn Las 2010 cyclist Nantlais Roberts-Jones explained why he decided to take part in the challenge: “I chose to do the Lôn Las Cycle Challenge as it is my way of saying thank you to Bobath for their invaluable input, support and dedication shown to our son Tomi.

"This centre of excellence provides specialist Bobath therapy and support to ensure that every child with cerebral palsy reaches their full potential. Completing this cycle challenge is a personal goal but equally an excellent opportunity to raise money and awareness of Bobath across Wales”
