SCHOOLS in Penarth are set to be partially closed or open to staff only on Wednesday, March 26, in a national teacher strike.
The strike has been called by the National Union of Teachers in a dispute over pay, pensions and conditions.
Schools open to staff only include Albert Primary School, Sully Primary, Victoria Primary and Ysgol Erw’r Delyn.
Partially open schools will include Evenlode Primary, Fairfield Primary, Llandough Primary, Murch Junior, St Cyres Comprehensive and Ysgol Gymraeg Pen-y-Garth.
At Evenlode Primary one Year 1 class and two Year 2 classes will be open, but all other classes will be closed.
At Fairfield Primary Dosbarth Thomas Year 6, Masefield Year 5, Byron Year 3 and 4, and Dryden Resource Base will all be closed, with other classes open.
Llandough Primary will be open for Year 6, Year 5 and Key Stage 2 Speech and Language classes only, with all other classes closed.
Murch Junior will be closed for classes 4P and 6B, with all other classes open.
St Cyres will be open to Sixth Form only.
Ysgol Gymraeg Pen-y-Garth will be closed to Nursery, Class 2O, 3D, 4W and 5P, with all other classes open.
Cogan Nursery, Cogan Primary, Dinas Powys Infants, and Stanwell School will all remain open as usual.
