PENARTH’S RNLI lifeboat was called out twice over the weekend to rescue people that were left stranded on Sully Island due to the rising tide.
Penarth's D class Lifeboat rescued two people cut off by the tide on Sully Island on Sunday afternoon.
A further person spotted walking around Lavernock Point was advised of tide times to ensure he didn't get cut off either.
Penarth RNLI also helped safely transfer two people cut off by the tide onto the mainland on Saturday afternoon, March 29. Penarth Coastguards also provided assistance in a joint operation.
