THE 5th Parkend Rainbows Unit served a late afternoon tea in their local meeting hall to about 50 adults and children for the Guide Dogs charity and raised the fantastic total of £260.
Barclays Bank matched pound for pound what the Rainbows raised and they were lucky enough to be able to present their cheque together with Adrian Chapman from Barclays, Penarth, to Jane McCann who brought her guide dog Peggy to meet the troop on March 28.
The Rainbows were delighted to be told that their hard work would help to sponsor three new puppies to be raised as Guide Dogs for the future.
Peggy has been a great hit with all the Rainbows that they wanted to do something to help there worthy cause.
