A SULLY youngster had his dreams come true when he was given the chance to meet one of his heroes earlier this week.

Ysgol Erw'r Delyn pupil James, 18, was given the chance to meet children's TV presenter Mr Tumble and the cast of Cbeebies thanks to the Follow Your Dreams charity on Monday, April 14.

The charity is a national organisation that inspires children and young people with learning disabilities to follow their dreams.

The charity focuses on growing and developing the children's abilities and skills through the delivery of interactive events, dreams and creative workshops.

"We received two dream applications for a Mr Tumble meet and greet, "said Diane Blackmore, CEO of Follow Your Dreams.

"We contacted Justin Fletcher’s agent and managed to arrange for the two children, Pippa aged 8 from Taunton, and James, aged 18 from Sully, to attend a meet and greet after his Cardiff show. Mr Tumble is extremely popular with children, especially children with learning disabilities as he uses Makaton signing to communicate with the children."

Ms Blackmore added: "It's so important for everyone to connect with people that they admire and we were delighted to give James and Pippa that opportunity.

"James loves live performances and will get such a confidence boost after meeting Mr Tumble. We have tried various avenues to arrange a meet and greet for Pippa but have never had any luck so this meeting will mean the world to her."

The charity has also bought front row tickets for another seven children and their carers to see the show at the Cardiff Motorpoint Arena on the April14 and April 15.
