THE SAVING Sully action group is urging local residents to give their views on the latest stage of the Local Development Plan consultation.

A well attended and ‘constructive’ public meeting was held last week to discuss the alternative site stage of the Local Development Plan.

A spokeswoman from the Saving Sully action group said: “We are now at the stage of the LDP which is the “Alternative Site Stage” where residents and developers have suggested that sites in the Deposit LDP be deleted, amended or that new sites should be included.

“The Vale of Glamorgan Council now want to know if we support or object to these suggestions.

“These forms are now available and ready for completion by residents wising to comment on the proposals at this part of the process of the LDP Alternative Site stage. We are arranging for all residents to have forms delivered to their homes.”

She added: “The Saving Sully Group are also holding “drop in” sessions which are being held at the Jubilee Hall Smithies Avenue, Sully, on Wednesday, April 23, from 5.30pm – 7.30pm and Saturday, April 26, from 10am – 2pm.

“These sessions are designed to assist anyone facing problems or difficulties in understanding or completing the Vale of Glamorgan Alternative Site Comment forms. These need to be completed and returned to the Vale of Glamorgan Council at Barry Dock Office by Thursday, May 1. Alternatively they may be completed online. It is also acceptable for letters to be sent if residents do not wish to complete the forms.

“It is important that the residents participate in this stage of the LDP to ensure that their views are taken into consideration.”
