THE ever-popular spring fayre, organised by the Parish of Penarth and Llandough, is taking place in a new venue this year.

The sale will be held in the Conservative Club in Stanwell Road on Saturday, May 17, from 10am until noon.

Gill Smith, who leads the fundraising group in the parish, explained that having a larger more accessible venue should enable stall holders to display their goods more effectively, and allow people more room to move around and sit and enjoy their refreshments in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Gill said: "We love our own Parish Hall but the Conservative Club does provide more space so we hope that it will work to everyone’s advantage."

This year, the fayre will have all the usual favourites - homemade cakes, toys, bric a brac, books, toiletries, children’s books and refreshments. Entry is £1 and includes coffee and biscuits. For those looking for an early lunch, filled rolls will be on sale.
