THE Vale of Glamorgan’s Environmental Health Department will embark on a roadshow across the area to share a number of tips during Food Safety Week between June 16 and 22.

The roadshow will also be focussing on hand washing techniques, promotion of the Food Hygiene Rating (Wales) Act, general food safety advice, and queries from members of the public.

There will also be a drop in advice centre encouraging food business operators from the Vale of Glamorgan to drop in if they need to discuss their Food Hygiene Ratings and to ask questions relating to ways in which to improve their rating.

Also as part of the roadshow, the Environmental Health Department will attend local primary schools, where they will be demonstrating correct hand washing techniques, and carrying out other food hygiene related activities.

The roadshow can be found at different locations from Monday to Thursday, starting at Tesco, Penarth, then King Square, Barry, Waitrose car park, Cowbridge, and then at Filco car park, Llantwit Major, between 9am and 12.30pm. On Friday the roadshow can be found at Morrison’s car park, Barry, between 1pm and 4pm.
